Privacy Notice

This notice explains how ERE Consulting Engineering (ERECE) processes personal information collected through erece.co.za, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What We Collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number and company, the topic you select, your message, and your consent confirmation.
• Email and phone: whatever you choose to send us directly.
• Server logs: our web host records standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) for security and troubleshooting.

We do not ask for special personal information (such as health or religious information) or for information about children. Please do not send it.

Why We Process It

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal or talk booking, and keep records of our correspondence. The lawful basis is your consent and the steps needed to respond to your request before any contract (POPIA section 11). We do not sell personal information and do not send marketing messages unless you ask for them.

Who Receives It

Enquiries are delivered to our business inbox. Our hosting and email providers process them on our behalf as operators. We share information with others only if the law requires it or you agree to it. Some providers may store data outside South Africa; where that happens we rely on the safeguards POPIA section 72 requires.

How Long We Keep It

We keep enquiries only as long as needed to deal with your request and to meet our record-keeping and legal obligations, and then delete or de-identify them. If no engagement follows, we delete an enquiry once it is no longer needed.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to our inbox and hosting account is password-protected with two-factor sign-in where available. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send confidential drawings through the form; we will arrange a secure way to share files.

Your Rights

Under POPIA you may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing that already took place). Email info@erece.co.za. We may need to confirm your identity first.

Objecting To Processing

You may object to the processing of your personal information on reasonable grounds, and to direct marketing at any time, as POPIA section 11(3) allows. Email us and we will stop unless the law allows us to continue.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

Cookies And Local Storage

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site. One small preference is saved in your own browser (local storage) and never leave your device: your light or dark theme choice. You can clear them through your browser settings. If analytics are ever added, this notice will be updated first.
